Sands of Jannah

The Sands of Jannah swirl in an hourglass called the Pattern, a series of repeating, enchanted events that have governed history for nearly one thousand years. Humans share this desert continent with the boisterous afarit people and the sa’aali, a race of urbane immortals. The human county of Akbar borders the dark realm of Barkania, ruled by the djinn Iblis and his army of undead nasnas. The nations of Jannah are consumed by war every three hundred years and protected by magical guardians called the Pattern Warriors. These protectors have the sole power to resume the Pattern for another three centuries, or end it and return Jannah to the fold of the world beyond.

Welcome to the Hemisphere… A vast assortment of continents and oceans where nations of humans, elves, and dwarfs carve out an existence between the monsters and dark forces surrounding them. The lights in the darkness guiding civilization are the Havens of Janis, mythic cities where Enchanters, Professors, and Rangers divulge the secrets of the Great Powers to those who can wield them. After nearly a thousand years keeping the dark forces at bay, the Havens may not be enough to fight back as monsters creep back out from the shadows.
