Premise

With the savage Bourzey War a distant memory, an older and wiser Rayan al-Qatil seeks the prophesied hero al-Mara while Shajarah is ravaged by the brutal Third Pattern War. Princess Fariha al-Wasat finds herself in command of a divided kingdom when war and treason claim her father. Marching under the banners of Jannah’s greatest heroes, warriors wielding sword and spell must confront demons within or watch the Djinn destroy their world.

“Break the Glass” was the first manuscript I drafted with my own original plot, produced over a long summer break in arid Southern California between 7th and 8th Grade. The novel is dedicated to my 8th Grade English teacher and a classmate who served as my very first beta readers. This novel’s core plot is very similar to the original manuscript, though heavily revised to incorporate influences from my Palestinian heritage like the preceding works. I wrote the original manuscript for Book 2, “Akbar Nights,” prior to the first draft of Book 1, “Ignoble,” after outlining the plot of a trilogy while studying English at College of the Canyons.

This trilogy caps off a narrative journey that spans ten years for the characters and nearly a millennium for the realm of Jannah. I am far from done with the characters and the world I have built, however. Characters from “Sands of Jannah” will embark on their next journey in a novel due to be released in January 2027. Until then, I hope my readers enjoy the trials and triumphs of heroes all across the swirling sands of Jannah when “Break the Glass” is available in print and on Amazon Kindle.
